Airtel on Monday launched its Online Store where it is going to sell smartphones at attractive down payment options that include monthly installments that double up as postpaid plans. To start things off, the company has listed the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with the former being offered for as low as Rs 7,777 for the 32GB variant. Sounds like a great offer. Or does it? If you look into the fine-print, it's not that cool.  Now, here's what you need to know. In the case of the 32GB iPhone 7, customers will need to make a down payment of Rs 7,777 and then pay 24 monthly installments of Rs 2,499. The installments come with built-in postpaid plan that offers 30GB data, unlimited calling (local, STD, national roaming), and Airtel Secure package that covers the device against physical damage and cyber theft. Google Assistant which lets users control Chromecasts from its "Google Home" smart speakers is now expanding the feature to Google Assistant on Android smartphones and iPhones. The mobile assistant app can control a cast session through voice and the user can even specify which Chromecast in the house is the target, Android Police reported late on Friday. The user needs to start Assistant on the device and give a command such as "Play Spotify on Chromecast" and it will perform the desired action. Along with the ability to start or stop media, the user can also control volume, pause, and do everything else that is possible with "Google Home". Christopher Moore, a software engineer, began a post on his own blog showing his findings. During a Hack Challenge, Moore began proxying the internet traffic of his OnePlus 2 using OWASP ZAP. If you’re not close to this process, this actually allowed him to view all incoming and outgoing internet traffic from his phone. Among the normal network activity, he noticed a lot of requests to open.oneplus.net. Through extensive inspection, he found the field name to be an Amazon AWS instance owned by OnePlus. he could see his phone sending data periodically to the open.oneplus.net server over HTTPS. He was able to decrypt the data using the authentication key on the phone which showed that his OP2 was sending time-marked information about locks, unlocks, and unexpected reboots. There is early excitement for the iPhones releasing in 2018 and Apple is likely to ditch Touch ID feature and move to Face ID, said reports.
