Airtel TV App Revamped, Content Catalogue Available Free Till June 2018

Indian telecom giant Airtel has launched a new version of the Airtel TV app on Android and iOS platforms. The app's refreshed catalogue of over 300 live TV channels and 6,000 movies and global TV shows will be made available on a free subscription basis to Airtel prepaid and postpaid users, until June 2018. Airtel is rolling out a new version of its Airtel TV app on both mobile platforms (Android, iOS). Expanding its content catalogue, the Airtel TV app will now offer 300 plus live TV channels across genres such as GEC, movies, news, etc. The app also has access to over 6,000 Bollywood and Hollywood blockbusters and numerous other Indian and international TV shows. Airtel offers iPhone 7 at Rs 7,777, but it won't save your money

Airtel on Monday launched its Online Store where it is going to sell smartphones at attractive down payment options that include monthly installments that double up as postpaid plans. To start things off, the company has listed the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with the former being offered for as low as Rs 7,777 for the 32GB variant. Sounds like a great offer. Or does it? If you look into the fine-print, it's not that cool.  Now, here's what you need to know. In the case of the 32GB iPhone 7, customers will need to make a down payment of Rs 7,777 and then pay 24 monthly installments of Rs 2,499. The installments come with built-in postpaid plan that offers 30GB data, unlimited calling (local, STD, national roaming), and Airtel Secure package that covers the device against physical damage and cyber theft.     After Reliance Jio’s ‘Dhan Dhana’ offer, now Airtel has come up with a new ‘myPlan Infinity’ postpaid plan at Rs 999 that provides customers with 50 GB of data and along with free unlimited calls, even on roaming. What is the plan all about? The Airtel new ‘myPlan Infinity’ plan is aimed at consumers with high data consumption. It is available for both new and existing users. The plan also comes with a data rollover promise which means that the unused data will be forwarded to the next billing cycle.  Limitations of the plan This plan is only available for the postpaid users. The plan has no daily limit on data consumption. Airtel Karbonn A40 v/s JioPhone

Bharti Airtel on October 11 announced it was collaborating with Karbonn Mobiles to offer a 4G smartphone – the Karbonn A40 Indian -- at an effective price of Rs 1,399. The collaboration is part of Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel’s ‘Mera pehla 4G smartphone’ initiative, which aims at providing affordable 4G smartphone to people seeking to move from feature phones to smartphones and experience high-speed internet on the go. The Bharti Airtel announcement seems to again have pitten the telecom major against Reliance Jio, which recently launched its 4G feature phone, JioPhone, which is virtually free. Airtel offering 4G smartphone for Rs 2,899

Looking to take on Reliance Jio in the handset space, the country’s top telecom operator, Bharti Airtel, has partnered Karbonn Mobiles to offer a 4G smartphone at an “effective price” of Rs 1,399.  In a dig at Jio’s Rs 1,500 4G-enabled feature phone, the Sunil Bharti Mittal-led company said its smartphone would be made available for the price of a feature phone. Airtel said this was the first of several partnerships it plans with handset manufacturers to bring affordable bundled 4G smartphone options to its customers. In July, Jio had announced a 4G feature phone for a security deposit of Rs 1,500, returnable at the end of three years for a full refund, making the device virtually free for consumers.  “A customer needs to make a down-payment of Rs 2,899 for the 4G smartphone and make 36 continuous monthly recharges of Rs 169 each.
